Join local author, music therapist and speaker, Katherine Haghighi, for "Walking the Writer's Path: A Creative Writing Experience in the Garden". As the first offering in a new series of writing and author programs, Walking the Writer’s Path invites participants to explore creativity, craft, and the deep inspiration of place.
Walk slowly. Let the Alaska landscape gather around you — the shifting light, the soft breath of spruce, the wild edges where petals, moss, and shadow meet. Walking the Writer’s Path is a gentle journey for those who long to write from a deeper place. As you wander the garden trails, you’re invited to listen with your whole body, to notice what stirs beneath the surface of things, and to let this northern ground shape the words that rise. Each pause along the way offers a moment of stillness, a spark of craft, a doorway into imagination. This is writing as presence, writing as communion, writing as a way of returning to yourself through the living rhythm of the land. Whether you are just beginning or have traveled the writing path for years, the landscape welcomes you, and so do we.
Participants will receive a companion journal created specifically for this class. Please dress for the weather and be prepared for a walk through the garden.
