All volunteers must attend one orientation per year in order to be eligible for volunteer opportunities. You'll learn what's new in the Garden, how to sign up for shifts and track your time, how we handle bear and wildlife safety in the Garden, and meet ABG staff and other volunteers!
We are not accepting any more horticulture volunteers for the 2026 season. If you are interested in helping with our education programming and special events, please fill out a volunteer application.
We welcome local businesses, youth groups, students, scouts, or clubs who want to come out as a group for a special project. Families are welcome to volunteer together; the youngest family member must be at least 7 years old. Volunteers younger than 16 are required to work alongside a parent or family member at least 18 years old.
