Join us for our next guest lecture with filmmaker & photographer, Kelsey R. Koon, and Channel Films video producer, Hannah Wilson! They will present on their project of collecting elder stories using film and photography. Find out what the editing process looks like when compiling important stories and personal narratives!

Kelsey was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. The outdoors and the ocean have seeped into nearly every one of her creative projects. The goal of her art is to spread awareness for the ever-growing impact of waste in our oceans through repurposing items like fishing debris in her pieces wherever possible.

Hannah moved from Florida to Alaska at 11 years old and later to Southern California for a BA in film production at Biola University. She lived and worked in the LA area for 6 years, gaining her first experiences in the industry. For the past 3 years she’s been living and working in Alaska as a video producer for Channel Films, an award winning indigenous-owned production company with a dedication to craft and the community.
