Overwintering Bees in Alaska

Winter is right around the corner, are your bees ready to take on the long Alaskan winter? Join Tim Huffman for an informative workshop on the methods and strategies he uses to overwinter honeybees in Alaska. He'll cover seasonal colony population cycles, the right time to harvest honey, late summer and early fall feeding, condensing, insulation strategies, and colony health.

Tim Huffman practices and promotes sustainable beekeeping. He keeps bees in backyards across Anchorage, and has been the beekeeper for 49th State Brewing since 2020. He overwinters nearly 80% of his colonies.

There is a $2 cancellation fee for all cancellations. No refunds for cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice.
