Join science illustrator and field sketching teacher Kristin Link for an evening of drawing and observation at the Alaska Botanical Garden. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to use your sketchbook as a tool for paying closer attention to the natural world. We'll cover basic nature journaling techniques, including entering metadata, observation prompts for botanical sketching, and how to combine words, pictures, and numbers on the page. Then you'll have guided time to sketch plants in the garden with feedback from Kristin. No experience necessary. All materials provided. There is a $2 cancellation fee for all cancellations. No refunds for cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice. Class will take place in our outdoor classroom and in the gardens, please dress for the weather.
Kristin's new book, Discover the Art of Field Sketching (Timber Press), will be available for purchase at the event. Learn more about Kristin at KristinLink.com
