Engaging the Senses: Aromatherapy and Forest Bathing

Anxiety, mindfulness, and over-commitment all hover as constant companions during the upcoming season of holidays and family get-togethers. Taking time to engage all of your senses can be a powerful tool to help you get through stressful and busy times. Together we will explore the healing properties of aromatherapy combined with the mindful practices of forest bathing to create a holistic approach to coping with stress. In this combined workshop you will spend time in the Garden activating all of your senses to promote relaxation and overall well-being. You will also learn the basics of aromatherapy by building your own unique blends using both essential oils and fragrance oils. Guided step by step, you’ll design a personalized fragrance to take home with you. A portion of this class will take place outside in the Garden; dress for the weather.

This class will be taught by Kit Burroughs and Stacey Shriner. Kit Burroughs owns Mirth, a small business that specializes in handmade soaps & fragrance oils. She is passionate about building unique & compelling fragrances and working with wholesome & high-quality ingredients to create luxurious self-care products. Stacey Shriner is the Education Manager for ABG and holds a certificate in Horticulture Therapy and Forest Bathing.

Space is limited; you must register ahead of time. There is a $2 cancellation fee for all cancellations. No refunds for cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice.
