Stepping into the Garden with Words

Join us for an exploration of writing in the garden. We will go beyond “how do I” or “what do I write about”. We will lean into the words that appear when experiencing garden spaces, what inspires, what speaks to you. We will also think about different ways to capture words, stories, tales and lore. We are all writers in the garden.

Katherine Haghighi is a writer with a love of storytelling about living and grieving. For her, there is no separation. She is passionate about recognizing compelling moments that inspire and provoke what living life is all about. Katherine was an Artist in Residence at the Alaska Botanical Garden in June of 2023 writing throughout the garden creating a project called The Inner Landscapes of Grief. She lives and writes in Anchorage, where she and her husband Doug have raised their 3 girls and 2 pugs.
