Alaska's gardening season is short and intense! We'll talk about ideal timelines for starting different plants, succession planning, week-to-week seeding, up-potting, and transplanting so you can hit the ground running as soon as the soil thaws.

Join Ellen VandeVisse, with Good Earth Garden School, for a workshop on practical strategies to optimize soil health for the next growing season. Learn how to recognize nutrient deficiencies, collect soil samples & choose a soil test lab.

Call for Art! Outdoor Mural
Applications Due March 1st
ABG is seeking an artist (or artists) to install an approximately 172 square foot outdoor mural on the East wall of the Greenhouse. The selected artist(s) will be awarded $4,500 to design and execute their work by July 1st, 2026. Artist(s) must be a resident of Alaska or currently live in state.

Home Landscape Design- 3 Day Class

Join local landscape architect, M. Elise Huggins, for a 3-day home landscape design class. You will learn the basics of design and how to apply them to your yard. -

Nationally Accredited Meconopsis Collection
Commonly referred to as Himalayan poppies, the genus Meconopsis is composed of fuzzy, flowering plants native to the Tibetan Plateau.
