Bring a mug to enjoy hot chocolate, tea or cider throughout the Garden (available for purchase in the Greenhouse).

Garden Storytime
Monday, December 29th | 10:30 - 11:30am
Join us in the Garden for a different story every week! This December we are celebrating winter and all of the joys of the coming season. Come dance, sing and listen to new stories with us. December 29th’s book is “The Shortest Day” by Susan Cooper.

Kids Ice Carving Workshop
Saturday, January 10th | 1:00 - 3:00pm
Learn the basics of ice carving and create a fun seasonal ice sculpture to take home! Taught by local artist and teacher, Tommy ‘Salami’ O’Malley in collaboration with the Girdwood Arts Institute.
Suited for ages 8 - 15 (must be accompanied by an adult, no registration for the guardian required).

Home Landscape Design- 3 Day Class
Thursday, January 15th, 22nd & 29th
6:00 - 8:00pmJoin local landscape architect, M. Elise Huggins, for a 3-day home landscape design class. You will learn the basics of design and how to apply them to your yard.

The Garden is here to help you with all your field trip needs, whether you need us to come to you, or you wish to get away from the classroom and come to us! Nationally Accredited Meconopsis Collection
Commonly referred to as Himalayan poppies, the genus Meconopsis is composed of fuzzy, flowering plants native to the Tibetan Plateau.
