The Shop-in-the-Garden
A Botanically-Inspired Gift Shop & Retail Nursery
Hours:
From late May through mid-September, the
Gift Shop & Nursery are open Tuesdays through
Sundays, 10 am - 4 pm or by appointment (and with extended hours
for ABG events, such as Gala, Garden Fair, etc.)
While the nursery is closed for the winter, the gift shop
operates from the ABG Office at 3701 E. Tudor Rd. #203.
Hours are 10 am - 4 pm Monday - Thursday or by appointment
(907-770-3692; closed some holidays).
Plants in the ABG retail nursery are selected for their
hardiness in the southcentral Alaska area.

Growing Instructions:
Refrigerate seeds for
30 days (these seeds have
been pre-chilled).Spread
in tray on top
of planting
medium.
Gently press seeds
in,
do
not cover.
Cover tray
with plastic,
maintain
temperature
between
50°F and 60°F.
Seeds
germinate in 30 days.
Remove cover after sprouting.
When
true leaves develop,
pick out
and
place into plug
trays filled
with fishy peat.
Thrives best in cool climates.
Plant in rich compost and
keep moist. Meconopsis does
best in part shade with
temperatures under 80
degrees. Matures to
3’ tall and 2’ wide; hardy
in zones 3-7.
