Educational Programs & Activities at the Alaska Botanical Garden
ABG hosts a variety of learning opportunities throughout the year, for both children and adults. You may t ake a self guided or docent- led tour, and pick up a Trail Guide for the Lowenfels Family Nature Trail. Kids can take part in our Junior Master Gardener Camp or Storytime in the Garden. Parents or teachers can download the Anchorage Garden Club Educational Booklet. Best of all, volunteer to help in the Garden or office and you'll find yourself surrounded by gardening knowledge.
Schools in the Garden
ABG's "Schools in the Garden" field trips begin Tuesday, April 29 for the 2008 Season. For more information about how your school can participate, please contact the ABG Education & Volunteer Coordinator at 907-562-7020

Self Guided Tours and Walks

Self guided tours of the Garden and Lowenfels Family Nature Trail may be taken anytime during opening hours from 9am to 9pm during the summer. There are self-guiding tour maps of the Garden proper in the mailboxes at the entrance. |
| In the mailboxes at the ABG entrance there is a "Kids Map" available (originally drawn by a kid). There are also Trail Guides for the Lowenfels Family Nature Trail at the trail entrance.
