How to make a Charitable Bequest to the
Alaska Botanical Garden

No matter the amount, your Bequest will have a profoundly positive impact on
the Alaska Botanical Garden's ability to carry out our mission and continue to develop this
valuable community asset. Once the needs of your family have been met,
we hope you will consider including the Alaska Botanical Garden in your estate plans.

The process is simple, even if you have an existing will.
A charitable bequest may be added or modified by a " codicil",
which is a document that amends, rather than replaces, a previously
executed will so you don’t have to draw up a new one.
An attorney can assist you with the wording to achieve your specific wishes.

Here are some simple guidelines and recommended language:

Taxpayer identification number: 92-0115504

When mentioning the Alaska Botanical Garden in your will,
we would like to suggest the following language:

"I give, devise and bequeath to the Alaska Botanical Garden, a not-for-profit,
501(c)3, tax-exempt organization, having as its principal mailing address
P.O. Box 202202 Anchorage, AK 99520,
(list percentage or specific dollar amount) for the
Garden’s general (or restricted) purpose."
