ABG Venue & Facility Rental Application & Guidelines
The
Alaska Botanical Garden has many beautiful outdoor sites for weddings, retreats, photography sessions, etc. Reservations are
taken on a first-paid, first-serve basis. The Alaska Botanical Garden hosts a variety of educational events and programs during the season, so no impromptu or unscheduled events or usage may be permitted.
Venue rental fees support the ongoing maintenance of this non-profit public Garden and its beautiful horticultural displays. Please note that we do not yet have any reception buildings or greenhouses - all venue rentals are entirely outdoors (we do have a limited number of pop-up tents available upon request for an additional fee). _____________________________________________________________
All venue rentals, of all types, must be scheduled through
the ABG Office: 907-770-3692
Please note: Due to changing bear activity in the area, no receptions or parties with food will be permitted for outdoor weddings in the garden.
Simple champagne toasts are permitted with the use of an approved caterer
and the appropriate permits.
New - our facility rentals are now quoted on an individual basis,
per
your specific event needs.

Below is a
map indicating the areas in the Garden where events and weddings may
be held. We have designated these areas in order
to minimize interruption of the ceremony. Please indicate
the location you prefer on the Venue Rental
Application. Please complete the application
and return it so that we may enter the date on the Garden
calendar. We will send a confirmation letter upon receipt
of the application and fees. |

The
Garden is continuously developing as we build the gardens and elements of the Master Plan. There are
often volunteers and staff working in the Garden, and the public is always welcome - so please be aware of this when you rent space for your event.
Due to potential impacts upon our trails and plantings, we must limit all party sizes to no more than 150 people. The Garden is not available for weddings
during regularly scheduled Garden events, such as Garden Fair, Gala, etc. There may be other "black-out" periods as well due to new garden construction. Please contact the ABG office for scheduling options. |
